The SMB interface features a snap-on coupling mechanism and is available both in 50 ohm and 75 ohm configurations. SMB connectors conform to the requirements of IEC 61169-10 
, and the interface is in compliance with MIL-C-39012. The 50ohm SMB connectors offer broadband performance with low reflection DC to 4 GHz and extended performance up to 10 GHz.; The 75ohm SMB connectors offer broadband performance with low reflection DC to 2 GHz and extended performance up to 4 GHz.; 


SMB connectors are available in various materials including an option for die cast components on non-critical areas to provide a low-cost solution.
